AREQUIPA - CHIVAY - CONDOR CROSS - START OF TREKKING - SAN JUAN AND SANGALLE OASIS.

Our pick-up service operates between 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM from your accommodation. We depart at 3:30 AM by tourist bus towards the trekking starting point. Along the way, we will make stops in Chivay for breakfast and at the Condor Cross viewpoint to observe the condors' flight and the canyon's depth. We aim to reach the trekking start by approximately 9:00 AM. From there, we will begin a 3-hour descent on foot to San Juan village, where we will have lunch. Afterward, we continue to the Sangalle oasis. At Sangalle, you can relax by the pool, enjoy dinner, and spend the night. On the second day, we start the 3-hour ascent to Cabanaconde at 5:00 AM. In Cabanaconde, we will have breakfast before returning to Arequipa by tourist bus. The return journey includes stops at various viewpoints and tourist attractions. We expect to arrive back in Arequipa around 5:00 PM.

The trek was incredible, it’s a simple trek but the rocky terrain and steepness makes it on the more difficult side but still absolutely doable! The views are incredible and our amazing guide Franco Stev was so knowledgeable about the geology of the place, the history of Peru, plant medicine and so much more! We were well looked after and the food was delicious.

Great tour! Really recommend because it's much nicer to do this intensive hike together with a nice small group and guide who tells you everything about the environment! Franco stev was the best guide and takes good care of everyone; sexy condors vamos a la playa!
