Begin your adventure with an early start to your hot-air balloon experience. Head to the office for check-in, followed by a transfer to the balloon launch site, which can vary daily based on weather conditions. Upon your arrival, your pilot will commence the inflation process of the balloon. You'll have the opportunity to assist the crew with inflation for a more engaging experience. As you ascend, marvel at the unparalleled panoramic views of the Rio Grande Valley from high above. The flight path is determined by your pilot each day, based on the prevailing wind direction. You might drift over the city of Albuquerque, descend low enough to greet onlookers, or skim the surface of the Rio Grande River. Throughout your journey, your pilot will provide fascinating commentary on the landscape unfolding below. After approximately one hour airborne, your pilot will skillfully land the balloon, where the ground crew will be waiting. Jon was our pilot. He was super. He answered many questions, told stories, and kept us safe. We traveled ten miles and went as high as 1,300 feet. It was well worth the admission fee. Our trip lasted 90 minutes, instead of the projected 45, which was great. The weather was beautiful. There were 14 of us, which was just fine. I also want to thank, in addition to Jon, the ground crew: Kyle, Alyssa, and Matthew. They were great. The views were spectacular. I am telling all my family and friends about the fantastic trip. The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive, and I truly appreciated the care they took to make sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the experience. You could tell that the team genuinely cared about making this a special experience for everyone. I enjoyed every part of it and am so grateful I had the opportunity to do this.
