About the activity

Join Katia and her uncle Fulvio for an authentic Tuscan cooking experience at their family farmhouse, located just 4 km from the beautiful town of San Gimignano. Learn to prepare a true Tuscan meal, focusing on the authentic flavors and techniques of the region. This experience is more than just cooking; it's a celebration and a wonderful opportunity to spend time with a real Tuscan family. You'll create a variety of traditional Tuscan antipasti, followed by 'primi piatti' (first courses). We'll hand-make one type of pasta, prepare two different pasta sauces, and then craft a delicious meat-based second course.

What's included

We will guide you through preparing an authentic 5-6 course Tuscan lunch or dinner. Each course is thoughtfully paired with local Tuscan wines. So much fun ! Katia was...

So much fun ! Katia was so warm and friendly , it just felt like hanging out at a friend’s home and learning their cooking secrets . She made everyone comfortable regardless of their comfort level with cooking . Idyllic farmhouse setting and close to San Gimignano , we did a fun spontaneous side trip there . And the meal we made was incredible , can’t wait to try to make it at home .

Authentic, delicious and so much fun

This was so authentic and amazing! My husband and I joined just 2 other couples to learn under Fulvio's expert tutelage (sorry if spelled wrong). He welcomed us into his beautiful 13th century home on his olive and lavender farm. We learned how to make pasta from scratch, roll it into pici, make 2 sauces, bruschetta and even chicken saltimbocca. He was a joy to talk to and learn from. We enjoyed 3 wines as we ate, and it was great getting to know the other couples from different parts of the world. Fulvio loved poking fun yet taught us so much! This was one of our best experiences on our trip to Italy and I say to everyone - DO IT!! We had a rental car and were staying inside San Gimignano, it was only an 8 minute drive, even with the wine totally manageable.
