Our tour guide Steven was very knowledgeable about the region and flora/fauna. He provided commentary throughout the trip to and from the boat. It was a bit rainy but still a lovely day with lunch served and plenty of stops for pictures.

That was a very good organized excursion. Our guide Allen enriched the tour with his comnents. We liked a lot that he did frequent stops to give the opportunity to take in the beauty of the landscape and to take pictures. We can highly recommend this trip.

Bucket list tick
Trail14543768624, October 2026
Loved that it was a small group tour (12 in total incl the driver). Steven was really informative with heaps of local knowledge and experience. Leaving from Te Anau was great as it saved the long drive there and back from Queenstown. The morning cruise was good as it beat the afternoon rush of visitors from Queenstown. Really enjoyed the tour. Milford Sound was amazing and a total bucket list day for me.
Response from the operator · Info F
Bucket list experience - indeed it is! Stephen is an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge about Milford Sound and the wildlife. We like to time our trips so we avoid the crowds and we can stop at more places along the way with a smaller group. Many thanks!
