This restriction is in place due to ongoing maintenance and the necessary natural regeneration process of the lagoons. The measure is intended to allow the ecosystem to complete its natural cycle and preserve its environmental conditions. Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache
Walk to the start of the trail where you can explore all 7 lagoons. Be amazed by the crystal-clear waters of the lagoons and wonder how such a phenomenon is possible in this remote location. Starting March 3, 2025, you will be able to swim in one of the lagoons.

Cordillera de la Sal
As part of the journey to the Baltinache lagoons, we will traverse the Llano de la Paciencia, with the Cordillera de Sal on one side and the Cordillera de Domeyko on the other. This scenic drive takes approximately 1 hour each way.

Meeting point and return

We do not offer pickups in Ayllus. If your accommodation is outside our designated pickup zone, please contact us to inquire about possible arrangements. Otherwise, we will arrange a meeting point at Plaza Turistur or at our agency.

I had a great time on the Baltinache tour, our guide Malu was great and really looked after us. She was especially impressive as she did the tour in Portuguese and English and made sure to include the whole group at all times, she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had. Our driver was great and the photographer Leo managed to get some great shots from our trip. Our picnic was also a lovely way to finish the tour.
