Following our visit to the camp, we will travel to Potsdam. Too little time at Sachsenhausen

The day is split between Sachsenhausen and Potsdam. We felt there was not enough time devoted to Sachsenhausen. We were only given 20 minutes to explore the four exhibitions on the site - the rest of the time we spent with the guide, which was informative of course but didn’t touch on the exhibition content we missed. Once we got to Potsdam, we were given 90 minutes to eat/drink on our own. I would’ve rather spend that time in Sachsenhausen exploring the exhibitions. Overall, the tour was average, the guide talked rather slowly and repeated himself often.

Tour Was Good But Could Have Been Better

This tour was good in reference to the visits to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp and city of Potsdam, but the bus transportation was a little deceiving since it was combined with another tour in another language, and that tour guide spent the entire bus ride speaking to the tour members, which was very tedious to listen to. It was not the difference in language but the delivery and length of time she spent describing places we were about to visit. Our tour guide Peter took his turn delivering the same preview but did so in a concise and condensed fashion, which we appreciated. Peter also provided a good historical overview of the camp and Potsdam. The only other issue was the limited amount of time we were given at the concentration camp to explore on our own. We would have appreciated more time for that part of the visit.
