Wow what an experience. ...

Wow what an experience. We had sunshine and snowfall during November. Beautiful part of the world. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It sounds like you were treated to the full Cradle Mountain experience — sunshine and snowfall all in the same day! It really is such a beautiful and special part of Tasmania. We’re so pleased you enjoyed your time with us and appreciate the recommendation.

Great day trip for solo traveller
Elizabeth_A, August 2026
The day ran very smoothly. It covered the big ticket destinations. Unfortunately the stop at Dove Lake was not long enough to do the loop around the lake. Commentary was fantastic.
Response from the operator · KM7277
Thanks for the feedback — we’re glad you enjoyed the day and the commentary. Cradle Mountain certainly has plenty of ground to cover, and we aim to give guests a good taste of the key sights while still keeping the day moving. We understand the comment about the Dove Lake circuit. The full loop is a longer walk, so unfortunately it isn’t possible to fit that into the time available on this particular tour, we do offer this over the summertime as a guided experience. Really appreciate you sharing your experience, and we’re pleased the rest of the day ran smoothly.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the day and felt well looked after. Our guides do much more than just get you from A to B, so hearing that the knowledge, courtesy and little details stood out is really appreciated. I’ll pass this on to the team. Thanks again for choosing McDermotts!

JUST DO IT!!!! You will not regret taking this tour. I only hope you get David as your guide as he was the absolute best. His knowledge was phenomenal. You get a very generous lunch pack with wrap, a piece of fruit and and couple of cakes, what more could you ask for
