Disappointment of a Lifetime!!
TravelBug5619, October 2026
This was by far the worst tour booking experience I have ever had. I booked this tour for one of the two full days we were in Port Douglas. We came from around the world specifically to Australia to go to the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Unfortunately my husband hurt his back the day before so I booked this solo and then we were going to the Great Barrier Reef the following day to give him some time to rest his back. I was at the pickup spot 5 minutes early. The van arrived just as I walked up and a couple got in the van. I said to the driver, "This is the Daintree Rainforest tour, right?" He said, "Yes, another van will be coming" and literally slammed the door in my face. I waited 10 minutes and texted the company. NO RESPONSE. I then had the receptionist at the hotel call them and she said she had a hard time reaching them but when she did they said, "Sorry the driver is to far to come back. They made a mistake, nothing we can do about it." Then they said I could go on their Great Barrier Reef trip today, in 20 minutes and the Daintree tomorrow. I already had the reservation and that would not work for my husband because he really wanted to go to the GBR. This was so egregious!! I cannot even explain how heartbroken, angry and disappointed I am. Someone emailed me a few days later apologizing and stating that that will help them in the future to train their personnel. WOW!! Thanks so much!! That really makes me feel better. This company is the worst and that van driver was so rude and unprofessional. I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this company!! Are these reviews legit? More than likely I will not have the opportunity to get to the Daintree Rain Forest and this will forever break my heart!! I have booked many trips with Tripadvisor and I am now going to look at other options. This company should be ashamed!!

We had Dale from daintree tours, his experience and In depth knowledge about the history of Port Douglas/ towns and locations we visted from the Daintree forest to Cape tribulation beach right through to Mossman gorge and not to forget crocodile boat cruise made visiting those spots easy to enjoy with those stunning views of forest and beach plus the crocs.
He had morning tea, lunches and Daintree icecream organised so your well satisfied thought the day.
I didnt want the tour to end regardless of a full day as it was enjoyable being shown around with a good tour guide.
I highly recommend this experience 👌 🙌.

Great day trip to the Daintree Forest!! Highly recommend!
biztravelerpdw, October 2026
This trip was great and well worth spending a day seeing the Daintree Rain Forest. Everything was 1st rate and our guide Dale was outstanding. The Rain forest and Cape Tribulation was great, including our morning tea and coffee, compliments of Dale. The boat trip down the Daintree River was a real-life Jungle Cruise…2 crocs, a bull shark, countless birds, and great up-close view of the Mangroves
Lunch was fabulous and ice cream after was even better
Would have spent a full day in the Mossman Gorge…so glad this was included.
Can’t recommend more highly. Well worth a day in Port Douglas
