Trapani x Favignana - should be private

Hi, Thank you for contacting us and asking about our experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed because the service provided was not what was presented to us when we made the booking. We were a group of six and booked what was presented to us as a private boat tour, for €90 per person. In addition, five of us paid €25 per person for the open bar option. When we arrived, however, we discovered that the boat was shared with other passengers, rather than private. We later saw similar shared tours being offered in Favignana for around €55 per person, which made us question the significant difference in the amount we paid. The open bar situation was also uncomfortable. We were the only passengers wearing special wristbands, and initially even the crew did not seem to know why. Only after contacting the company were we told that we could order drinks freely. This created an awkward situation with the other passengers, who understandably could not understand why only our group had this benefit. At times, drinks seemed to be served more freely when the other passengers had left the boat for swimming stops. Our main concern is very simple: we paid for a private experience and received a shared one. Had we known beforehand that this was a shared tour, we would not have agreed to pay the price presented to us. For this reason, we believe it would be fair for the company to refund the difference between the price we paid for the private tour and the price of the shared tour actually provided, as well as review the additional amount charged for the open bar, considering how the service was delivered. We would prefer to resolve this matter directly and amicably with you, and we look forward to hearing your explanation and proposed solution.
