Visit Dharavi, a self-contained city and one of Asia's largest slum areas. Explore key locations such as The Recycling Area, enjoy a Rooftop Visit, witness Popaddom Making, and discover the Kumbharwada Pottery Colony. This area is a significant industrial hub, home to nearly one million Mumbai residents.

How to use your ticket

Your mobile or paper ticket is accepted. Please ensure you have one ticket per booking.

Meeting point and return

The tour commences at the main entrance and ticket office on the West side of Mahim Station.

To confirm you are at the correct meeting point, look for V-Jai Restaurant and Bakery across the street and Third Wave Coffee diagonally opposite.

There are four entry points to Churchgate Station, including two underpasses.

The initial photograph displays the station as approached from Colaba, indicating the entrance location.

Upon entering the station, please proceed to the "M/S Maa Tara Enterprises Multipurpose Stall," situated directly opposite the ticket counter.

This is where the tour concludes with a refreshing cold drink after exploring Dharavi.

Your guide will then assist you with your onward journey.

Whether you wish to return to Churchgate or take a local train to another part of Mumbai, your guide will accompany you to the train station.

Photography is not permitted within the Dharavi slum out of respect for its residents.

Please adhere to a conservative dress code, as is customary throughout India. Modest attire covering shoulders and knees is required.

Meeting Point 1 | Churchgate Station: Arrive at 9:15 AM for the morning tour, 11:15 AM for the midday tour, or 1:45 PM for the afternoon tour.

Churchgate Station is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from Colaba or a 5-10 minute taxi ride.

There are four entrances to Churchgate Station, including two subways. The first image shows the station when approaching from Colaba, indicating the entrance.

Once inside, locate the bookstall approximately 30 meters before the platforms. Look for the "Wheeler" sign.

Meeting Point 2 | Mahim Station: Be at Mahim Junction Railway station at 10:00 AM for the morning tour, 12:00 PM for the midday tour, 2:30 PM for the afternoon tour, or 3:45 PM for the evening tour.

The meeting point is at the main entrance and ticket office on the West side of the station (refer to photo 1).

Verify your location by checking for V-Jai Restaurant and Bakery opposite and Cafe Coffee Day diagonally opposite.
