Peles Castle
Travel to Peles Castle. The grand, Bavarian-style Peleș Castle was constructed in the 19th century amidst a verdant forest to serve as a royal residence and is considered one of Europe's most beautiful castles. A guided tour will lead you through many of its impeccably preserved, opulent rooms, still furnished with lavish decor. You will also have the opportunity to explore the adjacent Pelișor Castle, a smaller royal residence adorned with Art Nouveau elements.

Bran Castle
A one-hour drive will bring you to Bran Castle, often referred to as ‘Dracula’s Castle’ due to its connections to Bram Stoker’s 1897 Gothic novel and its infamous villain. As you approach the secluded castle, perched atop a hill with the dramatic Carpathian Mountains as a backdrop, you'll see its high stone walls and red turrets. After paying the entrance fee (at your own expense), you can enter and explore the castle’s many well-preserved rooms and chambers with your guide. Gothic furnishings and details enhance the atmosphere for the chilling legends of Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century prince notorious for his brutal campaigns against the Turks, who is said to have inspired Stoker’s malevolent Count Dracula. You have the option to have lunch at your own expense.

Rasnov Citadel: Garden and Panoramic View
Please note: RASNOV FORTRESS IS CURRENTLY CLOSED. However, we can still visit the exterior walls and the outer courtyard. Discover two of Transylvania's most remarkable citadels and understand why the region is steeped in mystery and lore. Your professional guide will pick you up in central Braşov and drive you for 30 minutes south to Râșnov, nestled within the stunning Bucegi Mountains. Learn about the rich history of Râșnov Fortress, a fortified stone complex built to defend against fierce Tartar invasions and used as a sanctuary for villagers during medieval conflicts. Explore the ancient courtyards, ramparts, and the well of this 13th-century fortress, originally constructed by the Teutonic Knights.

Meeting point and return

Meeting point: In front of Biblioteca Județeană "George Barițiu", Bulevardul Eroilor 33-35. Please note that pickup and drop-off services are provided exclusively within Braşov city limits and for guests staying outside the old town. Pickup times may vary depending on your location. We can also drop you off at a different location than your pickup point for an additional charge.

On departure, your guide will be holding a signboard. Please look for: In front of Biblioteca Județeană "George Barițiu", Bulevardul Eroilor 33-35. Pickup times are 7:30 AM from WEDNESDAY to SUNDAY for the Peles - Bran - Rasnov option, and 10:00 AM on MONDAY or 8:00 AM TUESDAY to SUNDAY for the Bran - Rasnov option. Please note that pickup and drop-off services are provided exclusively within Braşov city limits and for guests staying outside the old town. Pickup times may vary depending on your location. We can also drop you off at a different location than your pickup point for an additional charge.

Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please check www.peles.ro for the latest information. Tickets must be purchased online at https://bilete.peles.ro/

Please be aware that Bran Castle opens at 12:00 PM on Mondays.

Kindly be ready at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Starting August 1st, 2025, guided tours inside Bran Castle will be conducted solely by the Castle’s official guides or independently, without our tour guide accompanying you, due to new policies implemented by Bran Castle. More details are available on their website.

From November 1st, guides are required to pay an entrance fee at Peleș Castle. Consequently, our guides will no longer accompany guests inside the castle but will provide historical information before and after your visit.

RASNOV FORTRESS IS CURRENTLY CLOSED. However, we can visit the exterior walls and outer court. Starting Wednesday, August 13, 2025, access to the Garden of the Medieval Fortress of Rasnov and the Báthory Tower at the garden entrance requires a purchased ticket. Ticket details: The fee is 10 lei/person (VAT included) for visitors over 12 years old; children under 12 enter free. Tickets can only be purchased on-site using a card (POS available).
Please bring your own face mask; hand sanitizer will be provided. Vehicles are cleaned after each tour.
An optional extension to Sinaia is available for an additional fee. This extension must be booked online as part of the Bran, Rasnov, and Peles Castle option.
Our tour guides are dedicated to ensuring you have a memorable experience. The flexibility of private and small group tours allows for adjustments in timing and opportunities for breaks.
Typically, we arrive at Bran around midday. After visiting Bran Castle, guests have free time to explore the castle grounds and surrounding areas for lunch, shopping, or photography.
In the Tea House, a small restaurant within the castle courtyard, you can sample the 'Funeral Cake' (Coliva), a traditional Romanian dessert made with walnuts, raisins, and rum, often served at funerals and commemorations. It pairs well with coffee or tea.
Near the castle entrance, a souvenir market offers traditional masks, handcrafted items, and textiles. Your guide can point out their favorite stall.
Guests can choose between a sit-down meal or a quick bite on the go. The market includes food stalls, with Romanian Hot Dogs (local sausage sandwiches) being a popular choice. The Hanul Bran restaurant serves a variety of traditional Romanian cuisine.

Fantastic day, Charlie’s English was excellent, Such a knowledgeable guide from Brasov. He went at the groups pace (two couples who didn’t know each other), we never felt rushed. Charlie is an excellent safe driver. The first castle Peles, he ensured we were the first group in the queue (as there were several large coach tours arriving). I would definitely book another tour with him if we came back.

This was a wonderful trip and well worth the money. Charlie was our guide and driver and he was knowledgeable, courteous and spoke perfect English.
