1Meteora
We arrive at Meteora around 12:30 PM. This captivating complex features immense, steep rocks that emerge near the initial elevations of Greece's longest mountain range, the Pindos, often called the 'spine' of Greece.
We will visit two of the six active Holy Monasteries, depending on their operating schedules.
During our monastery visits, we'll pause briefly to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the Holy Monasteries from above, capturing the mystical essence of the landscape. This wild, inaccessible area, with sandstones over 65 million years old, is majestic, otherworldly, and divine, with its origins still unexplained.
Following our exploration, we'll enjoy a traditional Greek lunch in Kastraki, near Kalampaka, with the stunning Meteora formations as our backdrop.
We depart for Thessaloniki at approximately 3:30 PM. There will be a final 20-minute stop for coffee and rest.
We expect to arrive back around 7:00 PM, making the same stops as our starting point.
