Rincon de La Vieja
Enjoy an incredible time as you float down the crystal-clear rapids of the Rio Negro in your own individual "tube" for over 5 kilometers. Please note: Children aged 4-7 can join all activities except tubing. An adult must remain with the child during the tubing portion. Your lunch includes a diverse salad bar, a variety of main courses and side dishes, a dessert bar, and fresh juice, coffee, and tea. All dietary needs can be accommodated.

After lunch, you'll be taken to the Hot Springs & Mud Bath. Nestled within a tropical dry forest, the Río Negro Hot Springs offer ten pools filled with naturally heated thermal waters from the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. Immerse yourself in the soothing mineral waters, constantly refreshed by the river. Great all day excursion. The pick up was smooth & easy they picked us up from our airbnb. Th driver and the tour guide was very friendly. Also we started with the river tuning although i wish we did that last but it was a blast. The zip lines we pretty fun too & the hot springs was relaxing. The food provided at the buffet was delicious as well. I would recommend this excursion for all groups & sizes

No volcano to be seen, no mud baths to be seen. Guides spent so much time talking to each other they even forgot our last scheduled stop.

Our tour description does not state that a volcano will be visited or that there will be a specific volcano viewpoint. The volcano can be seen from a distance along the way to the adventure park, which is also located within the surroundings of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park. Regarding the mud bath, this activity is clearly included and described in the itinerary as: “You can also try our volcanic mud ‘bath,’ where you smooth volcanic clay mud all over yourself like a spa ‘masque,’ then after it dries, wash it off with a cool river water shower.” This was exactly the volcanic mud experience offered during your tour. The final stop you mention is a courtesy stop at a souvenir shop on the way back to the hotel. It is not mandatory and is not part of the scheduled itinerary. If the group does not wish to make this additional stop, the van continues along the regular route, which is what happened during your tour yesterday. That said, we appreciate your comment regarding the guides. Absolutely amazing experience! Everything about our Hacienda Guachipelin tour was incredible, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica! Our guide, Kevin Pinas, was fantastic. So helpful, knowledgeable and attentive throughout the entire experience. Our driver, Frank, was also wonderful and made sure everything went smoothly. The entire place is so much fun, with so many different activities and beautiful views. We felt safe at all times. We had an amazing time from beginning to end and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Costa Rica. It was an experience we won’t forget!

Amazing tour!

I highly recommend this tour! We got to do horseback riding, river tubing, zip lining which included a rock climb and swing, had a lovely lunch and finished the day relaxing in the hot springs with the mud bath. The whole day was exciting and it was everything I hoped it would be. Everything went smoothly and Alberto was the best tour guide! He was so friendly and added so much fun to the experience. He even ran up and down the hill to get my other shoes from the van when I had to switch them for horseback riding. I was nervous about going solo but my tour group was lovely and we all became friends right off the bat. I would totally do this again and recommend it to anyone.
