Beautiful hike - @500 ft of elevation gain w/ ups & downs
Susan_H, October 2026
We enjoyed this outing which included a @2.5 mile moderately strenuous hike in a beautiful wooded area full of tall Douglas fir and western red cedars, a visit to the Snoqualmie waterfall which was a very short and easy walk on a paved path, and a quick stop at a gift shop/cafe run by the Snoqualmie people.
The hike to the Twin Falls and back has an overall elevation change of about 500 ft. We started out along a river which was quite easy. Then we climbed an switchback trail with an incline to an observation point. I'm in just fair condition so I was panting a little on the steeper parts, but the guide gave ample times to rest. The hike then progressed down another switchback trail about halfway down th hill, then had some ups and downs with a final long incline to the top of the falls.
My wife (who is in better shape than me) did the whole hike and didn't think it was too difficult. I chose to wait at the first observation platform to take her picture by the falls. Then I went back to the river area to wait for the group to return. We were both happy with our choices. Even though I didn't do the full hike I still enjoyed being out in the woods and seeing the falls. I spotted several types of mushrooms and ferns which were very interesting.

An Increfible Hike Led by a Fantastic Guide
254sallyd, October 2026
This was an incredible trip led by an absolutely fantastic guide! The hike was quite challenging for me (an older person, out of shape with bad knees) but the energy, patience and enthusiasm Oliver had kept me going, He did just the right amount of narration and had a wide range of knowledge of the area. The views were incredible and the trip was the perfect length. We hiked to the Twin Falls and back and then drive to the other falls. Note that our reservation was adjusted by a day due to low turnout on our original booking, but it was handled seamlessly. The 15-person van was completely full for our trip, so if you are prone to carsickness perhaps ask if you can sit up front if that helps, but Oliver did a great job of driving smoothly.
