Following a rest stop, we ascend out of the canyon towards spectacular cliffs. Here, a 20-minute break allows for breathtaking photo opportunities. For the adventurous, there's an option to rappel down the 150-foot cliffs.
Next, we traverse plains and cattle pastures before reaching another canyon edge. A 40-minute descent brings us back to the rocky canyon floor, where we'll cross the La Virgen River several more times.

Great horse riding excursion close to San Miguel, yet felt like a world away : )

We all had a great time and would not only recommend, but also plan to go again !
Close to San Miguel, yet feels like a world away.
Our group consisted of adults with varying degrees of riding experiences - from
never been on a horse ... to learner riders... to experienced rider....
Rodrigo & his crew were friendly & attentive - the horses were some of the best "rent horses" we've encountered. We did the half day excursion .... rode thru beautiful canyons along a winding river, up mountain trails to the top of the ravine -
the views & cliffside are stunning !

An adventure that you cannot miss.

Fede, the guide, and the cowboys Toño and Guicho were very kind and patient the whole way; even though I had not ridden before, their instructions helped me a lot and they were attentive throughout the entire trip, always with a smile and a warm demeanor. The views are incredible and the path is too. I recommend wearing long sleeves to avoid sunburn. We will definitely return and we recommend them 100%.

We loved our guide Frederico ! And our caballeros! We had so much fun and it was beautiful in the canyon and on the ridge. Riding through clouds of butterflies, trotting through rivers and being guided by the songs and whistling of our guides. Thank you!!

Fantastic Canyon Horseback Adventure

Absolutely the BEST horseback riding tour we have ever taken anywhere. Gorgeous scenery, great setup, terrific lunch before heading out on a 2.5 hour afternoon ride up into the canyon and cliffs. Federico was a fantastic guide and photographer. His cowboys were also very impressive. Highly recommend this tour with Coyote Canyon Adventures! Be prepared to possibly get wet when fording the river...
