Meet in the lobby of the Regent Hotel in downtown Revelstoke to complete waivers and address any questions.
Guides will then escort you to the gear room, equipped with changing facilities.
You will be provided with a wetsuit, wetsuit socks, and a splash top. Fleece tops and neoprene gloves are available for colder conditions.
Wear swimwear or light shorts and a t-shirt underneath your wetsuit. Any tie-on or strap-on footwear is acceptable; feel free to use our selection of running shoes or bring your own.
All river gear is hygienically machine-washed after each use to ensure cleanliness and good condition.
Once everyone is geared up, the rafting bus will pick you up at the hotel for a drive through the historic Rogers Pass, 35 km east of Revelstoke, to the river access point below Albert Canyon.
During the bus ride, guides will conduct a safety briefing and answer any questions.
Upon arrival at the river, you will receive helmets and life jackets. A photographer will be present to capture your adventure, offering a great opportunity for group photos.
Guides will prepare the boats and safety equipment, then divide participants into groups.
A final instructional and safety briefing will be given at the riverside before you embark on your rafting adventure.
The time spent on the river will be between 2 and 2.5 hours, depending on the current river flow.
Navigate up to 25 km of Class II and III whitewater rapids, with the majestic backdrop of Mount Revelstoke National Park.
The Illecillewaet River winds through Canada's only inland rainforest, offering chances to spot wildlife such as river otters, bears, deer, moose, and various bird species.
Towards the end of the trip, enjoy a more relaxed float section while admiring the surrounding Selkirk Range.
The rafting bus will meet you at the takeout point. Enjoy a light snack of pastries and fruit while guides pack the boats and collect equipment.
A short bus ride will return you to the Regent Hotel, where guides will gather the remaining river gear.
You have the option to change back into your street clothes or use the hotel's hot tub.
At the rafting office, you can view a slideshow of the day's photos and purchase souvenir T-shirts.
The River City Pub, conveniently located in the hotel, offers discounted meals, providing a perfect way to relax and conclude your day with Apex Raft Company.
