What sets us apart from other tour operators? While many accommodate 10 to 15 guests per boat, we limit our groups to a maximum of 6.
This policy ensures you get the most time in the water, a better guide-to-guest ratio, and a more personal experience, especially since all operators are allowed a maximum of 2 hours in the whale shark area. (Note: exceptionally, a boat may carry 7 guests if a party has an odd number.)
Regulations permit 5 swimmers and the guide in the water simultaneously. We prefer that you and your partner swim alone with the whale shark for your first encounter, without sharing the experience with strangers.
If you are with children or several family members, you and your guide will determine the best way to enjoy the experience, perhaps starting in smaller groups and finishing with a jump for everyone together.
For those who are elderly, not strong swimmers, or simply a bit shy, the guide can jump in alone with you to guarantee the best possible experience.

Prepare for an adventure! Your guide will lead you to the boat, where you'll receive premium snorkel gear—mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit—to dive in with style. Life vests are optional in the water but required during the boat ride for safety.
As we cruise through the whale shark zone, your captain will navigate while your guide shares fascinating facts about whale sharks and how to maximize your experience, all while respecting the environment and the sharks. Expect some lighthearted jokes along the way!
Time to jump in! Your guide will swim with you, capturing photos and videos of the magical moments. We aim for each guest to have 2 or 3 opportunities to jump in and swim alongside a whale shark, provided conditions and time permit.
Whether you're actively swimming or prefer a more relaxed pace, you'll have a wonderful time with these gentle giants, no matter your speed.

Our boats depart from MARINA LA PAZ, Topete 3040 (corner Legaspy). Our guides will be waiting for you near the main entrance of this small marina. All tour operators meet here, close to the boat ramp. If you arrive early, you can enjoy a coffee at Baja Beans or The Dock Cafe.

My family, ages 80 to 20s, had a AMAZING experience that we will remember forever. We did the Sea of Cortez Wonder Tour. Very ethical swimming with Whale Shark, snorkeling with Sea Lions, and delicious beach lunch. We learned a lot! Amazing close encounter with whale sharks

We had an amazing time! Our guide Maritza was a graduate student studying whale sharks and very well informed. She even told us a little about her research into whale shark gestation and the effects of microplastics on their health. She was an excellent guide in the water, adjusting to everyone's different swimming abilities and comfort in the water to ensure we each got the most out of our experience, and taking photos and videos so that we got a memento without needing to worry about it. The experience itself was awesome! We got to see multiple whale sharks, including a group feeding at the surface! They were so close we had to swim back at times to keep our distance. The small group size (only our 6 family members) meant we all got personalized attention and time with the whale sharks. I would definitely go back.
