Embark on a guided tour down the Great River on a 30-foot bamboo raft. Each raft accommodates 2 people with a combined weight limit of 500 lbs. Please note this weight limit is strictly enforced for safety.
The Great River is a vital water source for Montego Bay and surrounding communities.
Optional local cuisine is available for purchase at a local cook shop, with typical dishes including Curried Goat, Pork, Oxtail, Fry, Curried or Brown Stew Chicken.
The rafting experience is expected to last between 75 to 90 minutes.
All rafts conclude at the starting point unless river conditions are high due to rain elsewhere, which may necessitate an alternative disembarkation point for safety.
Inform us in advance if you require special raft decorations, such as balloons, particularly for celebrations like birthdays or special events.

Your pickup time will be scheduled within two hours of your booked tour time. For example, for a 12:00 PM tour, your pickup will be between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. You will receive a confirmed pickup time via email within 24 hours before your tour begins.
We do not provide transportation to hotels outside of the following resort areas: Montego Bay, Trelawny, Negril.
Maximum weight limit for a single traveler is 250 lbs.
Combined weight limit on a raft is 550 lbs.
Solo traveler weight limit is 350 lbs (for the SOLO TRAVELER OPTION ONLY).

Captain Pierce was amazing! He was hilarious and shared information about the different flowers and limestone along the way. We did this for her birthday, and she loved every minute of it. They decorated the raft with her name and balloons in her favorite color, which made it even more special. She even got to steer the bamboo raft and really enjoyed that! The river was beautiful, and the whole experience was amazing. Definitely recommend it, and we would love to return!

I just have to start by saying how amazing this excursion was!!! Everything thing was great, the driver picked us up from the resort on time, he even doubled back to our resort to pick up a couple who was late! It was maybe a 40 minute drive from our resort. Once we arrived locals offered us things like waterproof phone cases and water shoes. Hookah is available to buy for the rafts! Our tour guide Dell was so amazing! He was fun, informative and overall he made our experience! He took our phones and captured videos and photos for us throughout the entire excursion. He took us to a side raft to buy drinks/food. We got the opportunity to get in the water. The water was so natural and fresh, it felt incredible dipping into the water. The massage was great, Dell was respectful and followed my wishes to stay only below the knees! He allowed my partner to massage the rest of my body and took pictures while she did so! At the end of the excursion he washed the clay off of me! We had so much fun on this excursion I highly recommend!!!

Had a wonderful Bamboo Rafting experience with Ijane! He was absolutely fantastic, it genuinely was worth the money! I can’t wait to come back and go with him again! He was also very knowledgeable, he was teaching us so many things about the history of Jamaica !
