A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, Canterbury Cathedral is both a serene place of holiness and beautiful tourist destination.
As the Cathedral of the Archbishop, the spiritual leader of the Church of England, Canterbury holds a special place in British history.
No ordinary Cathedral, Canterbury has a long history that is often described as ‘England in Stone’; from the role of its Archbishops in the Magna Carta to the murder of Thomas Becket after a power struggle with the King of England, Canterbury’s history is intertwined with that of England.
Founded by St Augustine in 600 AD, the Cathedral today is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England, and the first building in the country to be redesigned in this popular style in 1774.

This was the tour of a lifetime! We enjoyed every moment of the trip and this was due to Phil the guide and Vinny the driver! Phil is passionate about his city and country and we learned so much in the most fun and engaging way. This was an exceptional way to spend a day and my mom and I give this 12/10 stars!

Great way to spend a day seeing some historic sites
Claude_A, October 2026
We had a great day seeing and learning about the sites while also enjoying our tour guide Phil and his periodic history bites as we traveled to and from the locations. Even though some of the area traffic appeared chaotic, our driver Vinny did a great job keeping us safe and on schedule. It was a long day but we felt it was definitely worth it.
Minimal walking with plenty of rest in between.
Response from the operator · EvanEvansAdmin Dear Guest,

Pack a lunch
Michelle_S, October 2026
There is no planned opportunity to eat at any of the stops. Cold food and cold drinks are permitted on the bus. Not being informed of this ahead of time and not until we set off for the last stop meant less time at the cathedral as many were very hungry by then. Most other tours we have taken plan for a break for a meal. We knew no meal was included but did not realize the best time to eat was on the bus.
Response from the operator · EvanEvansAdmin Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry this lack of information affected your experience. We appreciate your comments and will share them with our team for consideration.
