A tour makes sense
Andrew_G, October 2026
There is such a crush of people at Westminster Abbey, a tour makes sense since you can avoid waiting in an endless line and are not forced to follow a pre-arranged path. As a 72 year old with arthritis, I found standing for 90 minutes difficult, so old folks be warned. Our tour guide Peter was a comedian--not to my taste, but everyone else seemed to love him.

Go early!
Janis_S, October 2026
Go early! When it's shoulder to shoulder and you are trying to follow your guide as he winds thru the crowd, you miss a lot. I wish the guide had a popsicle sign to hold up. It was too easy to lose him if we didn't constantly spot him.
