The tour was an excellent way to get a sense of western Madeira. Pick up was on time and the day unfolded at a leisurely pace. In particular we thought Roberto, our guide and driver, was excellent. He gave a commentary throughout the trip, which made the time on the road between stops informative and interesting. On the roads, which have a lot of hairpin bends, steep drops, his driving was sensible. This was then reassuring and gave time to see the surrounds.
