Our guide tried to start the tour with ZERO instruction on the e-bikes. This is when we discovered he only spoke French, he struggled to sporadically find single words in English. We basically couldn’t understand anything he tried to say. Fortunately one couple in our group owned e-bikes and they were able to give the rest of us a mini lesson.
One member of our group stayed close to the front and kept an eye on the distance between riders to make sure we didn’t lose anyone at turns etc and the couple who were familiar with e-bikes rode at the end to make sure no one got left behind or ran into trouble as our guide didn’t seem to grasp our situation.
The 2 sightseeing stops we made along the way were a waste as our guide couldn’t communicate to us what we were seeing.
When we arrived at the falls, our guide wasn’t going to join us but a member of our group convinced him to go with because we couldn’t understand what he was trying to tell us.
We felt rushed to get through the falls which was unfortunate as they are beautiful and whole the reason for our ride.
This was not the experience any of us had planned on and expected based on all of the positive and glowing reviews.
On the positive side, the ride was beautiful, the falls were stunning and we all arrived back safe.

Bike tour to the falls

We scheduled an e-bike tour to the falls. Although it was marathon day and the streets were blocked, one guide had a bike malfunction that gave us a little delay - the ride to the falls was gorgeous. The pace was perfect and Helen our guide provided information and interesting history along the way. The time allotted at the falls was sufficient - and we were able to view at our own pace and interest level.
This is a great way to see an amazing natural beauty and enjoy nature during a city vacation.
