Itinerary

Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes, entrance included. Embark on a guided tour of Cordoba's most remarkable monument, the Mosque-Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Led by expert historians, this tour will take you through a living temple that has witnessed countless historical events, leaving a lasting impression. We will delve into the various construction phases, beginning with the preserved remnants of the ancient Visigothic Basilica of San Vicente. Our journey will continue through the original mosque built by Emir Abderraman I and its subsequent expansions up to the Almanzor period. Following the city's conquest by Christian forces, the Mosque was transformed into a Cathedral. Sections were adapted for liturgical ceremonies, expanding upon the enlargement initiated by Caliph Al-Hakam II. Later, the current transept of the Cathedral was constructed.

Don’t book Alvaro
M8832RHabdullahs, October 2026
Alvaro was biased and uninformed. Made an offensive joke right off the bat and even made up historical figures like a Jewish man named “sharboot” who wrote the Arabic inscriptions on the mihrab of Hegem. Remove my reviews all you want but I am saying facts
