WHAT TO REMEMBER: It is highly recommended to bring a swimsuit, sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a windbreaker or waterproof jacket, a second pair of closed, non-slip shoes for exploring Delos, and extra clothes in case you get wet. At the Delos archaeological site, a moderate dress code is required, including walk shorts, pants, and breathable long-sleeved t-shirts.
GOOD TO KNOW: Mykonos is known as the "Island of Winds" due to the 'Meltemi' phenomenon. This strong north wind is a normal part of life in the Cyclades. The beaches selected for swimming are the most protected and least windy ones, depending on the cruise weather. Sailing relies on the wind, and occasionally, if there isn't enough wind or the direction isn't suitable, the yacht may be motorized.
