Authentic, Engaging, Fun and Delicious

The Naxos Perivoli Farm experience and wood-fire cooking class was an authentic, informative, fun, and memorable highlight of our entire Greek isles vacation.
Our guide, Stamos, provided warm, friendly hospitality and led a tour that artfully blended local history, culture, and hands-on activities. He was genuine, entertaining, and engaging from the very first minute. Along the walk, we encountered farm animals and hand-selected fresh eggs to use later in our meal. Stamos walked us through the property with genuine pride, sharing stories about the olive groves, the olive oil-making process, Naxian potatoes, local Greek herbs, wine-making, and local honey.
It was also wonderful meeting fellow travelers from all around the world in our group. Together, we prepared a spread of traditional Greek dishes using fresh farm ingredients inside a beautiful open-air setting with traditional Greek music playing in the background. We topped off the evening with Greek dancing and traditional plate smashing.
Practical notes for future visitors:
Who it’s for: A great activity for families, couples, groups of friends, or solo travelers.
Physical requirements: This is a genuine, rustic outdoor experience that involves walking up and down sloped hillsides and rocky terrain for 1 to 2 hours.
What to wear: Wear comfortable, supportive walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather, as the entire activity takes place outside.
We strongly recommend this as an absolute "must-do" if you are visiting Naxos.
