We loved the experience! The tour was great, we saw a wide variety of animals and they provided us with everything necessary, such as flashlights, ponchos, and repellent. Kevin and Kenneth were very attentive and made sure we enjoyed the tour. Kevin's explanations were super interesting and he always took the time to answer our questions. They also shared incredible photos of the animals we saw during the tour. A very cool experience, we definitely recommend it!

Incredible experience! The tour is super complete, we saw many animals and they provided us with a flashlight, poncho, and repellent, so we were well prepared. Kevin, our guide, and Kenneth, our driver, were very kind throughout the tour and made the experience even better. Kevin explained everything to us with a lot of patience and it shows that he is passionate about what he does. Also, we were able to get great photos of the animals that they shared with us later. An experience that is totally worth it and that I recommend 100%!

Navigating the night by light

We were picked up on time at our hotel and there was only 1 other couple on the van. Our guide Hector gave us a history of the area and explained what we might see. Once at rainmaker we got a bunch of dos and dont, our flashlights and optional walking stick. We started to hunt for critters by the restaurant. You could wander by yourself or stay with the group. We all called out when we spotted something. After circling the bog we went through the wooded path up to the waterfall and across the suspension bridge. I was a little fearful of the suspension bridge in the dark while holding my camera and flashlight but it worked out. I would recommend that you wear boots on this trip as the ground is soft and wet. We saw frogs, spiders, snakes, lizards and glow plankton. Dinner was a traditional Costa Rican meal and there was beer or soda for sale if you wanted something besides the sweet tea. If you are afraid of the dark, have sight problems, mobility issues or dont like bugs this tour is NOT for you. The bugs were bad but we used lots of deet and the headlamps still attracted them. This was the off season so there was only 5 people and the guide. We experienced only mist of rain. Nava
