The ride takes you through the Agujas mountain ranges, venturing nearly as far as Las Delicias. Starting in the mountains directly behind Jacó, the tour proceeds for about half the distance towards the mountain's summit.

2
Catarata Bijagual
Following a brief pause, we ascend through primary rainforest and above the canopy to the mountain's peak. Beyond the crest, a stunning viewpoint reveals panoramic views stretching from Manuel Antonio to the south, the Nicoya Peninsula to the west, and the port city of Puntarenas to the north. Continuing along the mountain ridge and through the rainforest, we head towards the peaceful village of Bijagual. Passing the village church, soccer field, and central saloon, we soon reach our lunch destination, El Paz Del Campo (closed Tuesdays; a delicious alternative will be provided). The secluded Tilapia Farm and Restaurant not only serves authentic Costa Rican cuisine but also offers a tranquil setting where you can try fishing for tilapia from a gazebo above the surrounding pond. Children can enjoy fishing in the smaller pond with provided sticks. Relax and soak in the serene ambiance of the lush Costa Rican rainforest during your meal.

Awesome Jaco Experience
Sarah_R, August 2026
We had an INCREDIBLE experience with Alfonzo. Super friendly, knowledgeable about the area, pointed our macaws, sloths, iguanas, and trap door spiders, took 100s of pictures of us and was just a true light. Truly enjoyed this tour!

The day we were the only...
Jeffery_K, August 2026
The day we were the only rider with our personal guide. The waterfall was perfect and we swam half an hour. The trip took us to the peak of the mountains with a beautiful view on either side. The food at the peak was great and we saw a pair of macaws fly near by and land on a close branch for great pictures. This is a must see if in Jaco.
Response from the operator · Gordon N
Thanks for riding with us, Jeffery! We love hearing that swimming at the waterfall and spotting the pair of macaws were highlights. Come back and see us anytime you're in Jaco! – Gordon & the Adventure Tours Costa Rica team
