3 stars for nature itself

The description is misleading, unless you understand 'by kayak' to mean that it rides along on a car trailer. The entire tour may take half a day, but the kayak trip itself not even an hour. We left the beach a few hundred meters toward the bay and returned right back to the same spot. The group size was very large at over 20 people for a 'wildlife experience'.
Nature itself offered everything as promised. Seals, flamingos, pelicans, jackals, and even dolphins. All very close and impressive!
Expecting a half-day kayak tour, we were disappointed nonetheless.

Highly recommend this tour. Thrilling to see the seals up close and they are undisturbed and happy with the kayaks around them.
Hugo was our guide and he was interesting and engaging and we really enjoyed learning the local wildlife from him.
Thank you for a great experience

Excellent Nature Tour

We loved this tour. It was definitely a highlight of our time in Namibis. The guide was knowledgeable and the whole morning ran smoothly. We had plenty of time to watch the Cape Fur Seals and they came very close to us even biting our paddles. Definitely a m ust on your trip to Walvis Bay.

Seals were awesome

It was a nice ride to the kayaking site and the guide explained some interesting things about Namibias salt production facilities and wildlife along the way. The kayaking was very easy. The waves were gentle and easy to manoeuvre. The seals were delightful. It was my teenage boy’s favourite activity of our trip. It’s cold on the feet being barefoot to kayak though, so water shoes or a spare pair of regular shoes that can get wet, is advisable.

Perfect start to the day – beautiful kayaking tour with wildlife observations.

The kayaking tour with Pelican Point Kayaking was a wonderful experience and definitely one of our highlights in Lüderitz. The morning atmosphere on the water was incredibly calm and relaxed – just the perfect start to the day.
What was particularly nice was that we were able to observe many animals along the way: penguins, flamingos, and even some dolphins. The natural scenery was impressive, and the entire tour was very pleasant and cozy, allowing us to enjoy everything at a leisurely pace.
Our guide was excellent – very friendly, motivated, and knowledgeable about the region and its wildlife. We felt well taken care of the entire time.
An absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to experience Lüderitz from a special perspective.
