Had a great time on the Penang Plates Food Tour, with Sandy from A Chef's Tour. The 15+ tastings were all great, exceptionally tasty and hygienically prepared. Sandy encouraged group interactions, and everyone on the tour got on well, despite being mostly strangers at the beginning.
I got caught in a rainstorm on the way and arrived drenched. Sandy went the extra mile, helping to find a shop so I could buy a new shirt and enjoy the tour in dry clothes.

We immensely enjoyed the food tour by Sally ! It was beyond informative as she captivated us with all interesting facts and history of the area . It was the first thing we did after landing a couple of hours before , which gave us a good understanding of the area ! It honestly was the best thing to do the moment we stepped out our hotel door & now we have about 10 places we are familiar with ! We also ate so much food. Sally was so invested that we felt it was $ well spent !

A Must-Do Food Tour in George Town!

Grace was a fabulous guide who made the evening both fun and memorable. She was friendly, knowledgeable and full of fascinating local insights and historical information. We visited places we would never have thought to stop at ourselves, making the tour feel authentic and full of wonderful discoveries. The food was delicious, with a wonderful variety of local cuisines to sample. There was plenty to enjoy, and you could eat as much or as little as you liked.
Grace was also very kind and considerate, thoughtfully timing our stops and providing drinks at just the right moments. Thank you, Grace, for such a wonderful evening! This tour is an absolute must-do if you’re visiting George Town!

It was an extraordinary and highly recommended experience. Our guide was Grace Lim, who was attentive to us at all times, explaining each restaurant we visited and each dish we tasted. She was very kind and friendly, a true professional.
