The museum itself is well worth a visit but it is huge and our guide is what made the experience. Mohamed gomaa was a fantastic guide who made sure we saw the must sees and his knowledge of Egyptology and the history of Egypt meant we learnt a lot. He was funny, personalised our tour and allowed us time to explore key artefacts. Highly recommended

And here we are at the stotic and immense Central and ancient Museum of Cairo. Impending historical relics create an atmosphere of yesteryear.
Much lived, with display cases and sarcophagi and dusty trinkets.
Visiting it is easy and pleasant.
Some areas are undergoing renovation.

Siamo molto felici che la visita al Museo del Cairo sia stata per lei un vero tuffo nella storia. Il museo custodisce una delle collezioni più straordinarie dell’antico Egitto e ogni reperto racconta una parte importante di questa civiltà millenaria.
Come ha giustamente notato, alcune sezioni sono attualmente in fase di ristrutturazione per migliorare l’esperienza dei visitatori e preservare al meglio i preziosi manufatti.
Speriamo di avere il piacere di accoglierla nuovamente al Cairo per scoprire ancora di più delle meraviglie dell’Egitto.
