Fig Tree Drive
drive-through with no stop Fig Tree Drive runs through a green area of Antigua, past rainforests and massive banana trees (locals like to call figs). Roadside vendors sell local fruits , so don't pass by without asking them for some mango or black pineapple. Along the way you will pass by the ziplines and yes , look for a few beaches at end of it!!

Darkwood Beach
40 min Darkwood Beach offers some of the most iridescent seas and white beaches on the island, set on a backdrop of hilltops and tropical forestry; the views are both panoramic and spectacular also on a clear day, you can see Montserrat. Being one of the longest stretches of beach there is ample space to take it all in and with warm, alluring sea lapping up on pristine sands, there is plenty of reasons to visit!

Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes prior to the departure time listed above.

In the event that your ship docks at the Nevis pier. As you exit the gate turn left turn and follow the boardwalk until you get to ZONE 7 near to the Rum Runners By The Sea (formerly The Coast) and the Barbuda Express parking lot where our meet and greet guide(s) will be standing with a sign that reads "Voyages Antigua". Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes prior to the departure time listed above. Any other pier please ask the port security for directions to our meeting location at ZONE 7 near the Rum Runners By The Sea (formerly The Coast) and Barbuda Express parking lot.

As my first time out of the U.S. this was a wonderful experience. It was very eye opening for me and I greatly appreciated the history of Antigua. Leo, our amazing and wonderful tour guide, kept us informed of everything around us and answered all our questions remarkably. Leo is also an amazing person to have conversations with about other topics as well, I wish him nothing but the best in life! I highly recommend sun glasses for Devils Bridge, don’t leave them in the vehicle! The views from above looking down on the island were my favorite and doing a little trail explore too for some good photos.

We had an excursion around Antigua on Thursday 24 September 2026. Our tour guide was Leo. We had expected to be in a group of 6-8 people but, when collected at our hotel, we found that it was just me and my wife who would be touring the island with Leo. The tourist was interesting and lasted 6 hours which I thought was just about right. Leo was fun, helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area but given that he has lived in Antigua for 99.9% of his life, I guess that's no big surprise. However, his wider knowledge was also very impressive. There was no subject raised that he wasn't able to discuss at length. The lunch included was good - not exceptional but what we would have expected on this type of excursion. The only slight negative was that we had forgotten to take water with us although we.had.thought that the trip included water. Given the high temperatures in Anyigua that we were experiencing, my wife eventually asked for some. It turned out that Leo had plenty of very cold bottled water but just hadn't offered it. I would certainly recommend this trip and would definitely recommend Leo.
