Well, Whale Watching is a bit hit and miss isn’t it? You never know if you’re going to see anything. Luckily for us we did see plenty. We saw no breaching whales , but probably three or four separate groups of whales all swimming together. All coming out of the water and just swimming quietly. We did see one time when the whales did the bubble thing and then jumped up a little bit to get the fish.. and one Whale actually came to the back of the boat and nudged the back of the boat with all of us looking down on top of it.
And I think we saw a walrus or a very very large seal asleep on some small island on the way back.. lots of sea birds..
The boat was comfortable enough and yes, definitely is on the older side but the seawater will always make things look worse as the ship age. We were provided with tea and coffee and the staff on board were phenomenal they were so friendly and happy and always on the lookout for whales. And I love the fact that they shared their photos to our email accounts for later perusing..
