Our guide Anthony was amazing. We really enjoyed the family style eating of food. Everything we tried was delicious. Anthony talked in detail about every place we visited and we enjoyed listening to the history of Little Italy. Be prepared to eat a lot! We didn’t eat lunch prior to the tour and that worked in our favor. This was one of the best food tours I have done!!

Although we waved to the Godfather of Little Italy (perched in the chair on his porch), we truly enjoyed an insider's view with the neighborhood's favorite son and ambassador, Anthony! Anthony lived and understood the families and history of the families, the dishes, the breads and the gelatos. He understood the stories of the rise and struggles of the area, and why and how certain foods came to the area. From restaurants to a local supermarket, to specific sidewalks! All exceptional! I'm just sorry that my family wasn't with me on this trip...but that will give me a reason to come back!! Anthony is the person to go with! Grazie!!!

Adriana was an exceptional guide. She has lived in San Diego for many years and had so much history to share. She is also Italian and was able to relate her background with the tour. The food was delicious. There was more than enough to satisfy our appetites with some even brought home. We had a small, intimate group which made it easy for us to talk. So much fun and would highly recommend.
