Great experience at Signal Island!
Blair_G, October 2026
Had an amazing day swimming with the Turtles and Fish amongst the coral reef. The Speedboat ride out and back was almost the highlight of the day! Such a fun day!

Disappointing
jodeem910, October 2026
Very disappointing. There was no guidance whatsoever , you were basically dropped at the island and left there till pick up. No snorkeling gear was offered to us , luckily I had my own.

Hello,
We are surprised by your review, as the experience you describe is exactly the type of tour that was advertised and that you booked.
Our Turtle Tour is a transfer to Signal Island with free time to swim, snorkel and explore the island independently. It is clearly stated in the tour description that this is not a guided snorkeling tour and that guests snorkel and explore the island on their own.
Regarding the snorkeling equipment, masks and snorkels were available free of charge. Upon arrival, you simply needed to ask Manu, our staff member wearing red and waiting directly in front of you at the landing area, who was there specifically to provide snorkeling equipment and assist guests.
We also respectfully disagree that no information or guidance was provided.
When you checked in at our tent in Nouméa, you were given a map of Signal Island containing all the necessary information, including the swimming and snorkeling areas, walking areas and other useful details.
Then, upon arrival at Signal Island, the skipper gave the group a complete briefing in English. Finally, Manu remained on the island and was available throughout your visit to provide snorkeling equipment, information and assistance if required.
We are therefore sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, but your review does not accurately reflect the service that was provided. It appears there was a misunderstanding between the type of experience you expected and the tour you actually booked.
We strongly encourage travelers to read the full tour description before booking, particularly whether an activity is guided or independent, to ensure that the experience matches their expectations.
Thank you.

Turquoise Waters, Turtles Everywhere & Pure Paradise!
ronda_f, September 2026
Absolutely amazing trip! The water was unbelievably clear and turquoise, with turtles everywhere. We loved finding the quieter parts of the island where we could really relax and take it all in. The homemade items were such a special touch and a wonderful way to support the local community and bring a little piece of the island home with us. We loved every minute!

Staff were nice and the island was stunning. Ride there was fun! Got to swim with beautiful fish and sea turtles. Toilets were well kept. We had changed our booking time online a few days before but they had no record of the change. They did make it work on the day and accomodate our new time without issue.

Wild Ride - Beautiful Island
tanyahJ4338UR, September 2026
Signal Island is absolutely beautiful and so grateful for the opportunity to spend time there. I had read the reviews and that the Water Taxi ride was rough, but I'm not sure that really sums it up accurately - think bucking bronco ride for 30 minutes straight. It was brutal but also kind of fun. There is no guidance at all when you are on the Island though so if you are looking for an escorted tour this isn't it. You get a map from the tents at the Cruise Terminal and then you are pretty much on your own. Snorkelling was ok - the water was clear, but really needed to be out towards the end of the pier to see any marine life. Best views are from the beach enjoying the absolutely perfect situation of the Island. Take all your provisions with you, there are toilets but nothing else.

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
We would just like to clarify that we are indeed a water-taxi service that transports passengers to Signal Island.
You are not completely on your own once on the island, as one of our staff members remains there with you and is available to provide advice or assistance if needed, as well as masks and snorkels.
However, this is not a guided tour, so we do not personally escort guests around the island, to the toilets, or to the areas where turtles can be seen.
This is precisely why the product is called “Water Taxi Tour to Signal Island”: it is first and foremost a water-taxi transfer to Signal Island, allowing you to enjoy and explore the island independently.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we are very pleased that you found Signal Island absolutely beautiful.
