San Juan Island
San Juan Island is a prime location for viewing wild orca whales due to the nutrient-rich waters of the Salish Sea, which attract a variety of marine life, including large mammals like orcas. On this whale watching tour, you have a high chance of spotting orca, minke, humpback, and gray whales, with a 90-95% success rate during peak season. Orcas are active throughout the day, making any time a good time to see them. Beyond whales, expect to see other marine mammals such as harbor seals and stellar sea lions, various seabirds, bald eagles, and some unique terrestrial mammals. This adventure promises memories to last a lifetime! Enjoy the stunning beauty of San Juan Island on an exclusive Whale Watch Cruise departing from Friday Harbor. You'll sail aboard the swift, modern 55-foot MV Sea Lion, featuring a heated cabin with windows and seating for up to 24 guests. What an incredible experience! The guides were so friendly and informative! We saw Biggs killer whales, which included a mom and her children and they put on quite the show for us with tail slapping and so much more. I would highly recommend this tour! Thank you!

Orca pod

The guides on board were knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. We lucked out and followed a pod of orcas along the coast line. I loved the option of purchasing professional photos of my tour later that evening at a reasonable price.

Great naturalist, boat seats need to be recovered and the suit they give you are very old and mine didn’t work (Velcro’s or zipper) so I was still cold. Everything else was really good.
