Rough season for sure, but checking in they forewarned us. Capt and mate were solid and very good at their jobs! The capt handled the boat well in the 10 foot plus rolling waves. Talked us through the sightings and was on it with details. There was a medical situation on our trip and it was handled professionally.
I would reccomend for sure but check the weather!

Monterey whale watching trip

The trip was awesome!!! We saw a pod of Risso Dolphins, a HUGE pod of Common Dolphins, (looked like the ocean was boiling!), several humpback whales, one was a mom with her baby, and a pod of Orca Whales!!!
Our captain was very informative about what we were seeing, he slowed down to allow us to see the whales and dolphins! He told us the habits of the wildlife, and gave us valuable information!
The only drawback to the experience was that there weren’t enough seating. We had to stand up during the whole trip. It got pretty rocky, but it was a beautiful day and lovely experience!
This was on my bucket list to do!!
Dress warmly, because it’s pretty windy!

Excellent day on the water! Saw a large pod of dolphins and lots of humpback whales! Guides did a great job of navigating us towards the whales and giving information as needed. Smooth ride and incredible experience!
