Experience never happened — two refund requests ignored
The experience didn’t go ahead seven days ago. I’ve requested a refund twice, and neither request has even been acknowledged.
I paid for an experience I never received, and now I’m left chasing my money without so much as a response. The lack of communication is appalling and has made an already disappointing situation even worse.
Seven days, two requests, no acknowledgement and no refund. Completely unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend booking through Viator.

Make sure you know where the pick up point is. We had to walk in the rain to a different location due to it being low tide which surely is not a surprise?
Take a raincoat for the spray if the weather isn't great.
Morning tea is a pack of two Arnoltts biscuits - no tea or coffee.
Take binoculars
We had an ok experience and understand 100% that there are no guarantees. However, the crew could have made up for it with helpful information given we stayed in the same spot for about 15 minutes at a time.
Consider what your passengers can do while they just sit and wait for a sighting. Although it's peaceful on the water, it's long stretches of time and passengers seemed bored.
The crew was not very friendly, although the skipper was.

What an incredible experience!!! Captain dean, Jamie and Ikumi were amazing on and off board. They were super friendly and kind. We witnessed 2 whales. And they breached a huge amount of times which was super exciting. This is honestly a once in a life time experience and I can recommend anyone else.
The Captain was lovely and let my daughter sit on his chair and ask him many questions 😅
