La mejor empresa de rafting de este lado del desfiladero

Una empresa tan fantástica que no os arrepentiréis de hacer rafting con ellos. El grupo con el que fuimos era un poco más pequeño que el de otras empresas que vimos en el río (3 barcas frente a 6/7), lo cual es muy agradable porque resultó muy personal y relajado. Nos aconsejaron bien sobre la seguridad, qué hacer si nos caíamos, pero también cómo no caernos en primer lugar. En el río, pudimos salir a nadar, saltar desde una gran roca y también disfrutar de un buen almuerzo junto al agua sin ningún caos. Los tres guías, Sam, Kristin y Graham, fueron todos increíbles y trabajaron bien juntos para rescatar rápidamente a las personas que se cayeron de la balsa (solo 2). Estábamos en la balsa de Graham y no puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente como guía. Era divertidísimo, conocedor de la historia y la ecología del desfiladero, y muy bueno navegando aguas agitadas. Nos sentimos increíblemente seguros bajo su guía y se aseguró de que lo pasáramos genial y aprendiéramos un poco por el camino. Si utilizáis esta empresa, lo pasaréis genial pase lo que pase, pero la barca de Graham es el lugar donde hay que estar. También una mención especial al conductor del autobús, Jerry, que sorteó algunas curvas cerradas y coches aparcados ilegalmente como un auténtico profesional.

You really captured what we're trying to create at West Virginia Adventures. We're intentionally a smaller, local outfitter because three boats instead of a huge procession allows us to slow things down, get to know our guests, and actually enjoy the river together.
We'll make sure Sam, Kristin, Graham, and Jerry all see their shout-outs. Safety is always our first priority, and we're glad you noticed that it starts before the rafts ever hit the water. Knowing what to do—and preferably how to stay IN the raft in the first place—makes the fun part even better!
It sounds like Graham gave you the full experience: whitewater, some laughs, Gorge history and ecology, and some pretty great lines through the rapids. And Jerry successfully navigating tight West Virginia roads around creatively parked vehicles absolutely deserves recognition too!
Swimming, rock jumping, lunch beside the river, great whitewater, and only two swimmers requiring a quick rescue sounds like a pretty successful adventure to us.

Nos encantó nuestro día en el río con Rad. Compartió grandes conocimientos de la zona y muchos buenos chistes. Todos nos sentimos seguros y él trabajó duro para hacer que nuestra experiencia fuera memorable, interesándose por todos nosotros. También compramos el paquete de fotos y tuvimos la suerte de recibir muchísimas fotos digitales y vídeos estupendos. ¡Llevad buen calzado! Puede que hagáis una caminata maravillosa pero accidentada para ver una cascada que es de cinco estrellas, pero requerirá un calzado acuático que ajuste bien. Este es un gran negocio familiar que nos encantó poder apoyar.

We're so glad he made your time on the river memorable. Sharing the history and stories of the Gorge, keeping everyone laughing, getting to know the people in the raft, and most importantly making everyone feel safe is exactly what we want from our guides.
We're also thrilled you loved the photo and video package. Those pictures become even more valuable after the trip when you get to relive the rapids, expressions, laughs, and moments you might have missed while you were busy paddling!
And GREAT advice about the shoes. The waterfall is absolutely worth the hike, but this is West Virginia—we occasionally make you work a little for the really good views.

Los guías, Kristin y Samuel, ¡fueron absolutamente maravillosos! ¡Tenían muchos conocimientos, eran hábiles y muy divertidos! El paisaje era precioso, siempre nos sentimos seguros y, aunque supuso un poco de esfuerzo físico, mi madre de 72 años pudo hacerlo y se lo pasó en grande. ¡Esta fue una actividad fantástica que recomendaríamos e incluso repetiríamos!
