Ottima scelta della posizione, ma gestione del gruppo altamente non professionale e fotografia scadente

Ho prenotato un tour per piccoli gruppi aspettandomi un'esperienza intima e di alta qualità, ma la realizzazione è stata molto deludente.
Gli aspetti positivi:
Per dare a Cesare quel che è di Cesare, la scelta del luogo per inseguire l'aurora è stata ottima. La guida ha trovato con successo una posizione fantastica con cieli limpidi, il che ci ha dato una solida opportunità di vedere le luci.
Gli aspetti negativi (dimensioni del gruppo e ospiti non invitati):
Invece dell'ambiente intimo promesso, il nostro gruppo è stato unito a un altro furgone, portando il totale a quasi 14 persone. A peggiorare le cose, una volta arrivati sul posto, gli amici personali della guida turistica si sono presentati e si sono uniti al nostro gruppo. Quello che doveva essere un tour esclusivo a pagamento per piccoli gruppi si è trasformato in un ritrovo affollato con persone aggiuntive che non hanno pagato per il servizio.
I problemi con la fotografia:
Poiché la guida ha trascorso una quantità significativa di tempo a chiacchierare e a scattare foto per i propri amici, gli ospiti paganti sono stati lasciati ad aspettare. Quando finalmente ci sono state scattate le foto, la qualità è stata deludente. Le competenze fotografiche non erano all'altezza degli standard professionali: alcune foto erano sfocate. Mi aspettavo di tornare a casa con almeno alcuni scatti memorabili e di alta qualità, ma la mancanza di concentrazione e l'attenzione divisa hanno rovinato questa opportunità.
Verdetto finale:
Sebbene la scelta del luogo sia stata buona, la mancanza di professionalità, i gruppi uniti e il favoritismo mostrato verso amici non invitati hanno completamente annullato il valore di un pacchetto per "piccoli gruppi". Non consiglierei questo tour se siete alla ricerca di una guida attenta e di foto di qualità. Avendo già partecipato in precedenza a un tour dell'aurora con un'altra compagnia, ho avuto un'esperienza decisamente migliore altrove. Quel tour ha mantenuto rigorosamente le dimensioni ridotte del gruppo, ha concentrato il 100% dell'attenzione sugli ospiti paganti e ha fornito foto nitide e di qualità professionale. Questo contrasto ha reso ancora più evidente la mancanza di professionalità di questo specifico tour.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. However, we would like to clarify several points in your review, as we do not believe the description accurately reflects how the tour was operated.
First, our Small Group Northern Lights Tour is operated with a maximum of 8 guests per vehicle. On busy nights, we may have more than one Lapin Taivas vehicle chasing the Northern Lights at the same time. If our guides identify the same area as having the best weather conditions, two vehicles may temporarily stop at the same location. This does not mean that the groups have been combined into one 14-person tour. Each vehicle remains a separate small group with its own guide and guests.
We also strongly disagree with the statement that the guide brought personal friends to join the tour and prioritized them over paying customers. No additional people were added to your booking as tour participants, and our guides are expected to focus on our guests throughout the experience.
In fact, on this particular night, while many other operators remained much closer to Rovaniemi, our team drove approximately 1.5 hours farther north in order to find clearer skies and give our guests a better opportunity to see the Northern Lights. As you also acknowledged in your review, the location selected by our guide was excellent. This required additional driving, time and effort from our team specifically to maximize the chances for our guests.
Regarding photography, Northern Lights photography is technically very different from normal photography. Long exposure and low-light conditions can occasionally result in individual images being softer or blurred, especially when either the subject or camera moves during the exposure. Nevertheless, we take the photography service seriously and use professional camera equipment specifically for aurora photography. If you were unhappy with particular photographs, we would have appreciated the opportunity to review them directly with you.
We completely respect that the overall experience may not have matched your expectations, and every guest is entitled to share their experience. However, we do not feel that describing the tour as an unprofessional gathering where paying guests were ignored in favor of the guide's friends is a fair or accurate representation of what took place.
Our team made a significant effort that night, including travelling considerably farther than necessary, specifically to find better conditions for our guests. While we accept that there may have been aspects of the experience you did not enjoy, we believe this context is important for future travelers reading your review.
