Dette var første gang på en jetboat for meg, noen av familien har vært på jetboat før. Mannen som tok oss med på bussen og jetbåtene, han het Knoxs, han hadde en historie fra Fiji på bussen og fikk oss også til å le, det var så gøy da han gjorde 360-graders vendingen. Verdt å dra på.

Knox is a great character, and we love hearing that he had your family laughing while also sharing some of Fiji’s history and stories along the journey. That combination of learning something about the country and its people while having plenty of fun is exactly what we want the experience to be.
And then there are the 360s! For a first-time jet boat passenger, that first spin is certainly one you don’t forget in a hurry.

Den beste dagen ute i Fiji!

Vår opplevelse med Sigatoka River Tour var fenomenal! Henting og levering var i tide og sjåføren var hyggelig. Jeg føler at gebyrene og kostnadene var tydelig forklart og ingenting var en overraskelse. Vi ble hentet klokken 7. klokken 00 om natten og vi var tilbake på hotellet vårt innen klokken 3. 30 om ettermiddagen. Landsbyrundturen var et høydepunkt, barna mine ble veldig følelsesmessige da de dro fordi gleden deres ble følt massivt. Gruppen var ikke for stor, sikkerheten var en prioritet og omsorgen for alle gjestene ble følt. Vi dro med kaptein Fini, og hun var alt Fiji er. Snill, omsorgsfull, morsom, informativ og hun sørget for at vi hadde den beste tiden! Dette er en dag vi aldri vil glemme! Sterkt anbefalt.

To hear you describe the Sigatoka River Safari as “the best day out in Fiji” is a wonderful compliment, but what really touched us was hearing how emotional your children became when it was time to leave the village.
Children have an incredible ability to recognise genuine happiness and warmth. Our partner villages aren’t staged tourist attractions—they are real communities generously opening their homes and sharing their food, culture and way of life with our guests. When young visitors form that connection and find it difficult to say goodbye, it reminds us why the village experience is truly the heart of what we do.
We also really appreciate you mentioning the organisation behind the day—from punctual transfers and clearly explained costs through to manageable group sizes, safety and genuine care for our guests. Those details matter enormously to us.
And what can we say about **Captain Fini?** Your description of her as “everything Fiji is — kind, caring, funny and informative” is absolutely beautiful. Fini will be incredibly proud to read that. She brings her personality and passion for Fiji to every trip while always making the safety and enjoyment of her passengers the priority.
The Safari jet boat and 360s provide the adventure, but it sounds like it was the people who captured your family’s hearts.

Absolutt fantastisk. Fini var vår jetboat-kaptein, og jeg kan ikke anbefale henne nok. Hun er den eneste kvinnelige kapteinen. Du vil være trygg og ha det kjempefint. Damer på landsbygda vil tilberede det vakreste måltidet til deg. Vennligst doner det du kan. Litt går langt. Kava-seremonien er et must.

We’re equally delighted that the village experience left such an impression. The beautiful meal prepared by the village ladies, sitting together and sharing food, and participating in the traditional kava ceremony are all part of the genuine hospitality our partner communities so generously extend to our guests.

Det var en dag med opplevelser. Vi hadde «Fabulous Freddie» som båtfører, og han skuffet ikke. Stoppet ved ulike steder for å gi oss bakgrunnen og historien om hvordan fijianerne lever i området. Vi hadde også lunsj på en tradisjonell fijiansk landsby, som var fantastisk. Vi prøvde Kava i en tradisjonell seremoni (ikke for de lettkledde). Vi lyttet til dem synge og danset da musikken virkelig tok av. Gaver kan tilbys i hvilken som helst form du ønsker til landsbyfolkene, og jeg vil sterkt anbefale å gjøre dette gitt hvordan vi blir mottatt. Turen dit og tilbake var helt fantastisk, Freddie skuffet oss ikke igjen og ga oss 6 x 360-graders spinn fordi vi hele tiden ba om mer! Freddie, vi elsket deg. Å, og ta et håndkle og ekstra klær fordi du kommer til å bli våt!

What makes the journey along the Sigatoka River so special is that there is a story around every bend. Stopping along the way to learn about the valley, the river and how local families live gives the adventure so much more meaning than simply a fast jet boat ride.
We're especially pleased you loved the village experience. Sharing lunch together, taking part in the traditional kava ceremony and then watching the singing inevitably turn into everyone getting up for a dance is exactly the kind of genuine Fijian hospitality we want our guests to experience.
Thank you also for mentioning gifts for the village. They are certainly never expected, but whether guests bring school supplies, sporting equipment, something for the children or make a contribution towards village projects, the generosity is always sincerely appreciated.
And then there was Freddie! Six 360s because everyone kept yelling “more please!” tells us everything we need to know about your journey home. We'll definitely pass on the message: “Freddie, we loved you!” We're sure he'll get a big kick out of that.
Your towel and spare-clothes advice is also very sensible—especially when Fabulous Freddie is behind the wheel!

Vi hadde den beste dagen på denne turen. Kaptein Freddy var en fantastisk guide – varm, vennlig og en flott pilot. Landsbyen Nalebaleba var fantastisk, og vi elsket å møte folket, lære om landsbylivet og danse sammen! Vår bussjåfør Ace og guide Emily «Bula Barbie!» var fantastiske. Så en god dag – verdt hver en krone.
