Quando chegamos a Mikumi fomos recebidos por Felix e Benson que acabaram por ser os melhores guias, além das nossas expectativas. Eles tomaram o seu tempo e explicaram fatos sobre cada animal que vimos e embora possa ser bastante difícil de detectar leões, vimos seis deles por causa de seu grande trabalho!
Quando vimos um pequeno grupo de elefantes, eles nos levaram muito perto (mas com segurança, claro) e nos deram informações detalhadas sobre os elefantes e nos deram um tempo de paz entre eles.
Embora eu tenha certeza que eles têm vários grupos a cada semana, eles nos trataram como se fôssemos VIPs e se certificaram de que tínhamos a melhor experiência. Estamos eternamente gratos pelo dia mágico que temos e pelas grandes lembranças.

Fizemos uma viagem de 1 dia de Zanzibar para o Parque Nacional Mikumi e foi inesquecível. Tivemos tanta sorte com todos os animais que vimos graças ao nosso incrível guia turístico (eu acho que seu nome era Benson?) e motorista. Eles sabiam tudo sobre os animais, bem como sobre a natureza e podiam responder a todas as nossas perguntas. Ele até me deu seus binóculos porque eu tinha perdido meus óculos antes desta viagem. Estávamos em um jeep aberto onde pudemos cheirar, sentir e ver tudo o que realmente nos deu toda a experiência. Este foi o nosso primeiro safari, mas definitivamente não o último! Mais uma vez, obrigado ao nosso incrível guia e motorista, esta é uma memória que nunca esqueceremos!
