O nosso guia de turismo, James, foi incrível. Ele foi amigável, gentil e informativo. A seleção do restaurante foi fantástica, as porções são amplas, a seleção de bebidas excelente e o ritmo agradável. Eu realmente considero o preço um valor muito bom. Não consigo imaginar outra maneira de obter uma experiência alimentar e social tão informada e bem orientada.

Eu amei o passeio e nosso guia, Avery. Tentamos comidas que nem conhecíamos e até paramos que meu marido realmente queria! A única desvantagem foi que eu comprei inadvertidamente o pacote vip e não vale mais 20. 00 por pessoa.

Esta é a minha 5 ª turnê de comida e, possivelmente, o meu favorito. As pessoas em Portland são amigáveis e trouxeram um ambiente descontraído para o passeio. Timothy começou esta turnê bem ao aparecer com Holy Donuts, um favorito local. Houve a mistura perfeita de bons sabores de refeições para locais, favoritos casuais. Tivemos o melhor rolo de lagosta clássico emparelhado com cerveja artesanal local. Este passeio ofereceu a quantidade perfeita de comida e caminhada suficiente, mas não muito. Esteja preparado para caminhar até a colina um pouco na viagem, mas isso antes de começar a comer, por isso não é muito difícil. O itinerário foi perfeito. Uma mistura ideal de história, comida e caminhar pelas ruas de Portland. Tour foi muito agradável, guia foi delicioso e amostras de guloseimas foram variado generoso e delicioso. Chocolatier local discutindo sua mão feita chocolates especiais foi envolvente. Uma ótima maneira de passar várias horas.
Dito isso, era mais uma história da cidade combinada e uma turnê gastronômica, em vez de uma que se concentrava na vibrante cena culinária da cidade. Muito tempo gasto descrevendo o incêndio de 1866 e história de bldgs, interessante, mas não o que eu esperava em "foodie tour".
Teria gostado de mais informações sobre a evolução de Portland em um destino culinário reconhecido nacionalmente. Nós esperávamos visitar alguns dos restaurantes e fornecedores distintos que colocaram Portland no mapa como um destino culinário.
O único restaurante de serviço completo que visitamos foi o Gritty McDuff's, uma instituição de Portland como pub de cervejaria, mas nada reflexo da inovadora cena diversa de restaurantes de Portland. Teria de receber visitas a restaurantes mais criativos ou vendedores de comida e ouvir comentários de chef, gerente ou artesãos de alimentos. Diferente do chocolateiro, não conseguimos encontrar ninguém no ramo de alimentos.
Locais em nosso tour incluído mercado de variedades, smoothie shop, chocolatier loja, 2 vendedores no mercado público, e Gritty McDuffs.
Nós conhecemos Portland muito bem e jantamos lá regularmente, infelizmente, esta excursão contou com algumas das ofertas culinárias inspiradas que tornam a cena gastronômica da cidade tão especial.

The Old Port Culinary Walking Tour is exactly that, a combination food and history tour as the culture and history of the town are part of what has created the culinary culture.
We're an educational company who values the opportunities to share not only some of the artisan food and beverages in the area and the stories of these taste makers, but to introduce our guests to local history and points of interest that are naturally along our tour routes.
We absolutely have more restaurant centric tours that are available. You chose the Old Port Culinary Walking Tour which is noted in the description to more specifically focus on the entrepreneurs and experiences from brewers, bakers, confectioners and other craft food and beverage creators above and beyond the chef cap.
One example you mention is Gritty’s who combines two iconic Maine flavors in one, a modern classic of Maine craft beer and an iconic lobster roll taste. They were the first brew pub to open since prohibition (and prohibition originated in Portland), so they’re both an institution and significant in the history of the culinary scene here.
Mr. Tuna is one of several local businesses featured in the Bon Appetite restaurant city of the year article as a must visit and they're one of the spots you visited in the Public Market House. This is a hub for start up food businesses to work on their business model, often before venturing out to their own brick and mortar. Holy Donuts who are a national icon on every donut best of list feature Maine-sourced potatoes which are one of the big three for Maine - blueberries, potatoes and lobster. Blake Orchard was founded by a 21 yo and in her fourth year of operation she's preparing to open a 2nd location. There's a very strong trend in wellness globally and Blake's was ahead of the curve on this in Portland.
Hearing the perceptions from our guests is always a great learning experience for us. We balance this with the knowledge that when your business is in food and beverages that on occasions like this not all experiences will resonate.
We recommend our happy hours or progressive dinners for a more restaurant focused experience in the future. Thank you!

Eu tive que deitar na cama com a barriga cheia por uma boa hora depois da turnê Maine Foodie. Nós cobrimos muita comida boa do rolo de lagosta de Portland famoso a smoothies a sopas. Conseguiu aprender sobre a história de Portland como nós estávamos caminhando ao redor como bem o qual estava realmente limpo.
