Utmärkt platsval, men mycket oprofessionell grupphantering och undermålig fotografering

Jag bokade en liten grupptur i förväntan om en intim, premiumupplevelse, men genomförandet var högst besvikande.
Det goda:
För att ge äran vart den hör hemma var valet av plats för att jaga norrskenet toppen. Guiden hittade framgångsrikt en fantastisk plats med klart väder, vilket gav oss en rejäl möjlighet att se ljusen.
Det dåliga (Gruppstorlek och oinbjudna gäster):
Istället för den intima miljö som lovades, kombinerades vår grupp med en annan buss, vilket ökade det totala antalet till nästan 14 personer. För att göra saken värre, när vi väl anlände till platsen dök guiden personliga vänner upp och anslöt sig till vår grupp. Vad som skulle ha varit en betald, exklusiv liten tur förvandlades till en trångsam sammankomst med extra personer som inte betalat för tjänsten.
Fotografiska problem:
Eftersom guiden spenderade en betydande del av tiden på att umgås och ta foton åt sina vänner, blev de betalande gästerna kvar i väntan. När vi äntligen fick våra foton tagna var kvaliteten besvikande. Fotografiska färdigheter var inte upp till professionella standarder – några av bilderna var suddiga. Jag förväntade mig att gå därifrån med åtminstone några högkvalitativa, minnesvärda bilder, men bristen på fokus och uppdelad uppmärksamhet förstörde den möjligheten.
Slutligt utslag:
Även om platsspaningen var bra, tog bristen på professionalism, de kombinerade grupperna och favoriseringen av inbjudna vänner helt bort värdet av ett "smågruppspaket". Jag skulle inte rekommendera denna tur om du letar efter en uppmärksam guide och bra foton. Efter att ha tagit en norrskenstur med ett annat företag tidigare, hade jag en mycket bättre upplevelse någon annanstans. Den guiden höll strikt till sin lilla gruppstorlek, fokuserade 100 % av sin uppmärksamhet på betalande gäster och levererade skarpa, professionella foton. Denna kontrast gjorde bristen på professionalism på den här specifika turen ännu tydligare.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. However, we would like to clarify several points in your review, as we do not believe the description accurately reflects how the tour was operated.
First, our Small Group Northern Lights Tour is operated with a maximum of 8 guests per vehicle. On busy nights, we may have more than one Lapin Taivas vehicle chasing the Northern Lights at the same time. If our guides identify the same area as having the best weather conditions, two vehicles may temporarily stop at the same location. This does not mean that the groups have been combined into one 14-person tour. Each vehicle remains a separate small group with its own guide and guests.
We also strongly disagree with the statement that the guide brought personal friends to join the tour and prioritized them over paying customers. No additional people were added to your booking as tour participants, and our guides are expected to focus on our guests throughout the experience.
In fact, on this particular night, while many other operators remained much closer to Rovaniemi, our team drove approximately 1.5 hours farther north in order to find clearer skies and give our guests a better opportunity to see the Northern Lights. As you also acknowledged in your review, the location selected by our guide was excellent. This required additional driving, time and effort from our team specifically to maximize the chances for our guests.
Regarding photography, Northern Lights photography is technically very different from normal photography. Long exposure and low-light conditions can occasionally result in individual images being softer or blurred, especially when either the subject or camera moves during the exposure. Nevertheless, we take the photography service seriously and use professional camera equipment specifically for aurora photography. If you were unhappy with particular photographs, we would have appreciated the opportunity to review them directly with you.
We completely respect that the overall experience may not have matched your expectations, and every guest is entitled to share their experience. However, we do not feel that describing the tour as an unprofessional gathering where paying guests were ignored in favor of the guide's friends is a fair or accurate representation of what took place.
Our team made a significant effort that night, including travelling considerably farther than necessary, specifically to find better conditions for our guests. While we accept that there may have been aspects of the experience you did not enjoy, we believe this context is important for future travelers reading your review.
