Azrou Cedar Forest

Continue through the cedar forest in Azrou, where you can observe monkeys. Afterward, we will traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains. A significant portion of the day will be spent navigating through stunning forests, springs, rugged rock formations, and Berber villages as we descend towards the Sahara Desert.

We will stop for a lunch break in Midelt, a town known for its fossils and rocks. The journey will then resume towards Merzouga.

Before arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon, pause to admire a panoramic view of the extensive palm tree oasis. After a refreshing mint tea, your guide and camels will be ready to take you across the sandy erg-Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the sunset during your camel ride. After approximately one hour, you will reach the desert camp for an overnight stay in an authentic Berber tent. Your camels will be secured, mint tea will be served, and dinner will conclude the evening. Gaze at the stars before sleeping.
Day 2: From Merzouga to Ouarzazate

Spend the night at Hotel Rose Valley in Ouarzazate or a similar accommodation.

Wake up early for an optional sunrise viewing. After breakfast, we begin our journey to Ouarzazate, traveling along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. These ancient structures, resembling turreted sand castles, line the historic caravan trading route. This region, favored by Hollywood for films like 'The Last Temptation of Christ' and 'Jewel of the Nile,' offers a romantic and exhilarating landscape of river valleys, palm groves, and mud-brick homes under the desert sky.
Enjoy lunch before trekking through the enchanting Todra Gorge. Continue through the Dades Gorge, passing by stunning cliffs.

El Kelaa M'gouna

Journey through charming villages, past picturesque waterfalls, and witness a continuously unfolding kaleidoscope of colors amidst the stunning mountains. Arrive back at your hotel or riad in Marrakech by the end of the day.
If you are staying at a hotel, we will pick you up directly from there. If you are staying in a Riad within the Medina, we will provide a nearby meeting point accessible by our vans.
