Lack Luster
jordansB5892XZ, October 2026
Good staff and a beautiful cenote, but too many upsells Overall, the company and staff were great, and there were some enjoyable parts of the experience. However, I felt there were too many additional costs throughout the trip, and some of the activities were less exciting than expected. We decided to upgrade to the VIP package for an extra $59 per person, but looking back, I don’t feel it was worth the additional cost. Even after upgrading, there were further upsells for essentials such as goggles and face coverings for the ATV ride, which I feel should have been included in the VIP package. The ATV experience was quite underwhelming. We essentially drove around a dirt track with potholes in a figure of eight twice, which wasn’t particularly adventurous or thrilling. The zip lines were fun, but fairly basic and nothing especially exciting. The highlights were the tequila tasting and the visit to the private cenote, which was beautiful and a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. One disappointment was that cameras were not allowed during the ATV ride, zip lines or cenote visit. At the end of the trip, we were then offered the opportunity to purchase photos for an additional $59. The photos were fairly basic, and I think at least some photos should be included in the VIP package, especially considering the extra amount already paid. To be clear, the staff were friendly and the company itself was good. However, the repeated upselling throughout the experience took away from some of the enjoyment, and I don’t think the VIP upgrade offered enough extra value. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you’re looking for a relaxed activity with a mix of experiences, particularly the cenote. However, I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for the VIP package, and I’d advise keeping your expectations realistic when it comes to the ATVs and zip lines. It’s an enjoyable day overall, but not the thrilling adventure you might expect from the description.
Response from the operator · Extreme Adventure
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the staff, tequila tasting, zip lines and especially the private cenote. We’re sorry that the VIP upgrade and some portions of the experience did not provide the value or level of adventure you expected. Additional products and services offered during the tour, including professional photos, are optional, and personal phones and cameras are restricted during certain activities for safety reasons. We also appreciate your comments regarding the ATV experience, the VIP inclusions and the amount of additional offers throughout the day. Your feedback will be shared with our team as we continue reviewing both the experience itself and how the different packages are communicated to our guests.

Stuck in the jungle
paulfX9043HK, September 2026
The activities were good, but, could have been done in a different order, I think it would be much better to do the ATV first as you get quite dusty, zipline and end with the cenote and tequila tasting, just my opinion. What wasn't good is that you're held hostage waiting to leave and subject to pan handling for almost an hour while watching cultural dancing, I found this quite disturbing and turned a good time into a terrible experience
Response from the operator · Extreme Adventure
Thank you for your feedback, Paul. We’re glad you enjoyed the activities, but we’re sorry the wait to leave and repeated requests for tips spoiled the end of your visit. We appreciate your suggestion about the activity order and regret that you left feeling disappointed.

Highly Disappointed
Khadija_E, September 2026
2/10 experience. They don’t include fees on website so when you get there they will up charge you. You are not allowed to have ANYTHING with you during the activity, so you HAVE TO PURCHASE A LOCKER. When you get there, they will try to sell you a VIP package for an extra 50 dollars or so on top of the money that you already paid. The VIP is not worth it at all. My friend and I was looking forward to the Cenote part of the activity but we were only there for 15mins. They do have a photographer there taking pictures for a charge of course. We purchased the photo package for $79 but they charged my card more than that. Now that I am home in the States I’m not able to confront them so I have to go through my bank. The staff is very friendly but it’s not worth the extra money.
Response from the operator · Dayanne S
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry you left disappointed. Belongings are stored for safety, and photo purchases are optional. Please send your booking details and payment receipt privately so we can investigate the charge difference you reported.

Transportation in crowded van with no windows
skibub2, September 2026
We were taken to and from our hotel in a van that had graphics over the windows such that we couldn't see out - a 1hr ride in each direction. All of this provider's vans are configured the same way. It was uncomfortable and at times felt unsafe because we couldn't see what was going on around us or where we were being taken. We were also charged an additional $10 for our transfer once we arrived, in addition to what was already paid through the Viator web site. We're surprised that Viator allows this.

My flight got delayed. I...
Shameeka_W, September 2026
My flight got delayed. I called you guys before transportation had departed and you guys still charge my card now I’m in Mexico and I gotta report my card. Horrible experience called you guys three times nobody answers. Then once you guys take the money, somebody answers and now I’m told that I won’t be getting $169 back because transportation came. Are you crazy? Ridiculous I wouldn’t recommend this to a dog.
Response from the operator · Dayanne S

Please send us your booking reference and the name on your reservation via private message so we can review what happened. Since your booking was made through Viator, your refund request must be submitted directly through their platform. We’ll review the details of your case and assist with any information needed.
