Meeting point and return

Pickup is available from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and anywhere in the Riviera Maya. If you are in Cozumel, we can arrange pickup at the ferry dock in Playa del Carmen. Pickups at Playa Mujeres or Costa Mujeres incur an additional fee of $50 USD, payable on the day of the tour. We will pick you up at your hotel lobby or Airbnb. The suggested pickup time is 6:30 AM, but we are happy to adjust the schedule to your preferences.

We will contact you two days prior to reconfirm all details and will send your guide's information one day before the tour.

We are glad it was suggested we leave early (6:30 am). Our guide Carlos was also our driver. He was excellent in every way. He was punctual and his English was exceptional. His vehicle was very comfortable. We arrived at Chichen Itza before the crowds. Carlos was very knowledgeable but didn't go overboard with the details. He tried to find shady spots as we listened to the history. Be prepared for a fair amount of walking before you even get to the ruins. Next we were off to the cenote. We chose not to go in as we were sweaty and the thought of changing back into these clothes after a swim in the cenote was not appealing. We did climb down to see where you would enter. We then were off to lunch in Valladolid. It was a charming restaurant, much nicer than we had anticipated. We ordered traditional dishes that Carlos suggested and everything was delicious. We had time to see the town square and do some shopping. I would highly recommend this trip if you can tolerate the extreme heat and humidity and have the capacity to walk. We did our 10,000 steps on the tour.

This was hands down one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Mexico. We booked the private Chichén Itzá tour, and Carlos absolutely made the day unforgettable. From beginning to end, he was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had an amazing experience. His knowledge of Chichén Itzá, the cenotes, the local culture, and the areas we traveled through was impressive. You could tell everywhere we went that Carlos knew everyone and was genuinely well liked and respected. He went way beyond just being a tour guide. Along the drive he helped us spot birds and monkeys, pointed out things we never would have noticed on our own, answered every question we had, and gave us great recommendations throughout the entire day. Even when it came time to eat, he helped us choose the best local food and made sure we got the full experience. Carlos was even our personal photographer for the day! 😂 He knew all the best spots, angles, and places to take pictures at every stop. We came home with some incredible photos that we never would have gotten without him. He truly thought of everything. One thing that really stood out was how comfortable and safe we felt with Carlos the entire day. Being in a different country and traveling to different areas, that means a lot. We never felt uncomfortable or unsure about anything. Carlos took care of us from start to finish and made it easy to just relax and enjoy the experience. Having a private tour with Carlos made the entire day feel personal instead of rushed or touristy. We were able to enjoy everything at our own pace, and he made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. This tour honestly made our trip to Mexico. When we come back, there is no question who we are booking with — and we will absolutely be demanding Carlos again! If you're considering this tour, BOOK IT. And if you can request Carlos, DO IT. An amazing experience!

The VIP Chichén Itzá Private Tour was amazing, from start to finish. Amulfo, our driver and was great. The pickup was on time and he had water on ice. The drive from our resort to Chichén Itźa took toward a half hours, but the van was spacious , we stopped at a clean rest shop half way there, Amulfo’s driving was great and his conversation was engaging. When we got to the site it was a really hot day, but our guide has spare umbrella’s for shade. His knowledge of the site was incredible, and he did not rush us. We went to a very nice restaurant in near by town for a delicious lunch. His driving was so smooth that we slept most of the was home. I highly recommend this tour experience!
