Our local hosts, driving 7-seater 4WD vehicles with full air conditioning, will guide you along the 18km (12 miles) rough road from Kaliviani village to the Balos parking lot – a route inaccessible to buses or minibuses. We won't hike all the way to Balos beach, but will take you to our favorite viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views and memorable photos. Our final stop is Falassarna beach. Enjoy a 3-hour relaxing break on one of Crete's longest sandy beaches. Swim in crystal-clear waters and relax on your reserved sunbeds, complete with pillows, in the front row under an umbrella. The selected restaurant and beach bar meet our company's high standards. Our comfortable 4WD vehicles with air conditioning allow you to navigate the 18km (12 miles) of rough road from Kaliviani village to the Balos parking lot, a route inaccessible to buses or minibuses. We will not hike to Balos beach itself, but rather to a prime viewpoint offering stunning elevated views of Balos for memorable photographs. You might wonder why we swim at Falassarna instead of Balos. Balos lacks the amenities we require, and Falassarna beach is where locals prefer to swim! Trust our plan and enjoy your day.

Our final destination is Falassarna beach. Enjoy a 3-hour relaxing break on one of Crete's longest sandy beaches. Absolutely lovely tour guide. This was the perfect blend of scenery, history about Greece and Crete, and a relaxing few hours on the best beach we went to!!! If you are looking for a mild activity (we traveled with a grandma with some minor mobility issues) this is the tour for you!!! Couple minutes of rocky walking to the most picturesque view. The rest was total bliss and relaxation!! Can’t forget to mention the AMAZING and delicious lunch we had as well 10/10- highly recommend

To be clear we were informed we could get anything we wanted for lunch that was on the menu. After 12 days in Greece I kindly requested no Greek food and was told it would not be a problem. Guess what happened? Another traditional Greek lunch. Essentially I paid for an overpriced taxi to the beach. Do not recommend.

We had a fabulous day touring Balos Lagoon and Falassarna Beach! Our tour guide, Nicholas, was absolutely amazing—super friendly, funny, and incredibly accommodating. He made sure everything was arranged perfectly, from the rental of our sunbeds to an amazing lunch. Nicholas was also an expert driver, especially navigating the rough terrain, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. Everything was seamless, enjoyable, and so well organized.
