Visiting the Great Wall at Jinshanling was an unforgettable experience! We had Cheney as our tour guide, and everything was outstanding. He is incredibly knowledgeable about history and a great conversationalist. Our hike lasted around three hours, but it felt much shorter thanks to his fascinating stories and engaging conversations. Cheney was also very attentive throughout the hike, pointing out the more challenging sections and helping us navigate them safely. We truly enjoyed every moment of this experience and highly recommend Cheney to anyone planning to visit the Great Wall!

Exercise on the great wall

A difficult but rewarding hike on top of the less visited section on the great wall. There is an old section and a restored one. The sections of the wall where you have to go up are quite difficult and to even get to the wall you need to climb a ton of stairs for 40 minutes straight. However, the view form the top is worth it. I went early october and the wall was covered in huge insects who were eager to jump on me and dive bomb me right in the face so maybe wait until it is a bit colder) The guide David was very welcoming and explained some interesting facts about the wall itself. The lunch at the local farmer's place was delicious.

Our 3 day hiking tour has been an absolute highlight of our trip, I 100% reccomend. From start to finish, our guide Cheney was fantastic, extremely kind and patient to me and my mother while offering knowledgible insights and a clear passion for the history of the wall. The scenery and atmosphere of our trip was beautiful, serene and quiet with almost no other hikers, we got to experience an incredible range of original and restored sections of the wall. Another highlight of the trip was the abundance of delicious authentic local food we got to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner (so yum!). The trip ran seamlessly and we felt very well taken care of by our fantastic guide Cheney and driver, who was also very attentive and prompt.

Amazing tour! We had a great time with Dewit, who was a good tour guide. Dewit made sure we were always safe, and shared interesting information about the history of The Great Wall. October was a good time to go, not too hot. The food after was delicious. Worth the money!
