A must do in Ketchikan Alaska
Guide64879543134, October 2026
Yesterday was an amazing day! If any of you have ever watched the TV show "Deadliest Catch "(DC) you would have enjoyed what we did yesterday. We went out on the Aleutian Ballad from season 2 of DC. The ship has been converted into a tour boat highlighting and demonstrating crabbing procedures you see on the show. All of the guys on the boat have spent a lot of time on the Bering sea crabbing as younger men. In addition to crabbing stuff, we saw eagles diving for fish. If you’re ever in Ketchikan Alaska, I highly recommend this tour. BTW...this tour is over 3 hours long!

Awesome tour!

My husband and I loved this unique experience. The guides shared amazing stories from their tales at sea as we ventured between the various tour points. We saw bald eagles and got to experience what real crabbing on the big seas is like. A highlight of the tour is the opportunity to handle various crabs and other sea critters. Overall a fun way to spend a few hours in Ketchikan!
