What makes the Foodapest Cooking Class unique is that it blends culture, flavors, connection, and history into one experience.
Unlike a standard cooking class during the morning classes, we begin with a guided market tour at the iconic Central Market Hall, where guests taste local specialties from real Hungarian producers. From there, we bring those fresh, seasonal ingredients to our cozy Budapest-style venue and learn how to prepare traditional Hungarian dishes, based on real family recipes.
Along the way, guests connect with the city, the food, and each other: discovering not just how Hungarian cuisine tastes, but how it’s shaped by tradition, stories, and everyday life in Budapest.
It’s not just a cooking class, it’s a cultural experience served family-style.

Eszter was a fantastic host and extremely knowledgeable in the art of cooking and involving us in the process. We took a pasta making class in Florence last year that was awesome so we searched for one in Budapest for cooking chicken Paprikas and this one fit the bill. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator · Princess M Hi James, learning to prepare authentic chicken Paprikas is such a lovely way to experience Budapest’s food culture! Thank you for joining Eszter in the kitchen and for recommending this hands-on Hungarian cooking experience.
